Nowadays we all have electronic devices and smartphones. For many of the technology addicts specially when it comes to mobile phones and social networks saving battery becomes a real challenge.
Despite the evolution of technology, today’s mobile devices remain limited in terms of autonomy. It is true that manufacturers have been using higher capacity batteries in equipment but many users still need to have a power outlet nearby or a handy powerbank.
Soon the lightest solar charger in the world will be available, which will allow, for example, to charge the iPhone 6 in total in just 2 ½ hours.
The idea of developing the lightest and thinnest solar charger in the world belongs to the Yolk company that works in the field of solar energy. The project is already on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
The Solar Paper resembles a book and has the dimensions of 190mm by 180mm when it is open. At the top there is also a small screen where the user can consult the amount of stored energy generated in real time. Solar Paper will be available in 3 versions depending on the number of panels and capacity. According to company information, it is also possible to add more panels.
It is good to see that there are more and more creative ways to use solar energy to our advantage while reducing our ecological footprint.
